An absolute hidden gem!! A relaxing, intimate setting with an incredible staff. The Trenne Dolce Italia is my favorite dish. I look forward to getting it every year while on vacation.
If you love authentic Italian food, this is the place to go. My husband and I have celebrated our last three anniversaries here. Everything is top notch. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and attentive. I highly recommend the Trenne pasta dish. The flavor of the sauce is amazing. During the Summer they have have a special where you get an appetizer, entree and a dessert for 45. Such a great deal. Definitely try the homemade bread and butter. If I lived closer, I would be going more often.
Dolce Italia is not just our favorite restaurant in siesta key, it’s our family’s favorite Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to! The staff is personable, provides wonderful service and incredible food! We come to Sarasota every year and count down to getting to eat here again each year. If you like delicious, authentic Italian food, in a charming atmosphere you must try Dolce Italia. Can’t recommend it enough.
Had their signature dish, the triangular pasta with crumbled sausage; it was amazing! And, unusually, there was more sauce than pasta! The Limoncello cake was delicious! Service was really good! Attentive but not intrusive. I had asked about a particular wine I like and they brought a taster glass for me to try a different wine that was better! An enjoyable dinner in a small, intimate, restaurant.
We had a reservation for 5 during our vacation in early June. This meal was to celebrate our niece's 18th birthday and Dolce Italia made it extremely special. The food and service were top notch, and the atmosphere was spectacular. We highly recommend.
Delicious Italian in Gulf Gate! Dolce Italia is a cozy gem! We visited recently and started with the Caprese, which was super fresh and full of flavor. For entrees, we had the Penne Alla Bolognese, Rigatoni Al Pesto, and the house specialty, Trenne Dolce Italia—all were absolutely delicious. The sauces were rich and perfectly balanced, and the pasta was cooked just right. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole meal felt like we were guests at someone’s home. We left full, happy, and already talking about what we’ll order next time. Highly recommend if you're in Sarasota and looking for amazing Italian food. Dolce Italia is the real deal!
My wife and I had our 1st experience at Dolce after seeing many great reviews. This visit happened to be during Savor Sarasota which had great options and value. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, the owner Matthew and his staff were all friendly, professional, and attentive. This is a small restaurant of 12 tables which gives it an old school intimate feel. The noise level is not a problem even with the smaller setting. All of our food was brought out without much of a wait and it was all delicious. I had the Pappardelle with Lamb Meatballs that were stuffed with mozzarella, I’ve never had this and it was delicious and different. My wife had their signature dish Trenne Dolce which she loved. My dessert, the Pistachio Gelato was the perfect way to end the meal. The gelato had a chocolate covering with crushed graham cracker on top. We recommend Dolce all around. Chef kiss!
WOW! Let me just say, I’ve been to Italy, and this place might be better. I’ve been here once before but my second time has solidified my opinion. Amazing food, the Trenne pasta was the highlight of my night. You can tell they cook with the finest ingredients, this place is the real deal. Please go to Dolce Italia, I promise you will not be disappointed.
